Machine Operator

The Machine Operator position ensures all assigned machines/equipment produce product at or above department standards. Responsible to produce, assemble, inspect and pack all parts as per the work instructions for each assigned task or machine. Maintain all required paperwork and documentation to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and ISO 9001:2008 standards.

Job Duties and Requirements:

  • Operate machines maintaining productivity, efficiency and product quality.
  • Perform visual inspection and testing to ensure all products meet quality standards.
  • Reporting of data collection and coordinate with process tech’s or maintenance for machine errors.
  • Separate parts from runners by visually examining for: flow lines, long gates, shorts, splaying, flash, etc.
  • As needed, trim and clip excess plastic from parts.
  • Pick up bins of parts from shelves under molding machines.
  • Provide breaks as required by lead or supervisor.
  • Package parts in bags, totes or boxes as applicable per work instructions
  • Palletize product per work instructions

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a fast paced manufacturing work environment. Injection or blow molding is a plus.
  • Previous work experience showing good attendance levels and that used effective problem solving skills is highly desirable.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; knowledge of techniques, tools, machines, equipment, fixtures, and assembly procedures.
  • Must have good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills, intermediate computer skills to generate reports.
  • Demonstrate good judgment, decision-making abilities and potential for growth within the company.
  • Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply & divide).
  • Experience with weigh scales.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check

Material Handler

The Material Handler  is responsible for supplying a sufficient flow of material to the production floor while maintaining a high level of accuracy in the warehouse.

Job Duties and Requirements:

  • Check daily schedule for job changes
  • Checks BOM (Bill of Materials) for correct materials: resin, color, box, etc
  • Sets up material and equipment for new jobs per the BOM requirements
  • Verify correct materials are used as per work orders requirements and written job instructions.​
  • To blend the correct mixture of material, colorant or any other ingredient per established procedures
  • Prepare, fill, and start material dryers according to Flexcraft accepted procedures.​
  • Clean and operate material grinders
  • Inventories, labels, and stages materials returned to the warehouse.​
  • Conducts weekly cycle-counts and monthly physical inventory.​
  • Restocks materials in the stockroom.​
  • Maintains product inventory through use of hand held Scanners and PC’s.​
  • Operate a variety of material handling tools, dollies and forklifts, in a safe and contentious manner.​ Must have valid operating certification.
  • Maintains raw material inventory level by accurately accounting for product via required paperwork and ERP system entries as required per written work instructions.​
  • Relieve machine operators for breaks and lunches.​
  • Daily housekeeping to GMP standards
  • Other projects and tasks as assigned.​
  • This position may be combined with Warehouse Shipping & Receiving

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Must have the ability to read and understand bill of materials, calculate color ratios
  • Must be able to speak, write, and read effectively using the English language in order to understand work orders, safety notices, and other forms of written communication.
  • Must have good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills, intermediate computer skills to generate reports.
  • Must maintain current fork lift operator certification
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check

Quality Inspector

This position performs detailed inspections at different phases of production throughout the manufacturing process. Prepares quality documentation and maintains quality records.
Responsibilities:
• Records test/inspection/audit data, applying statistical techniques; guide technical evaluations, analysis, and related data acquisition processes to ensure quality objectives are achieved.
• Inspects and measures parts for production, process validation and support of engineering and quality investigations.
• Maintains measurement records.
• May have additional duties such as gage calibration and training of operators in inspection techniques.
• Read dials, meters, and screen profiles to see if equipment is functioning properly; Statistically control machines and processes.
• Help develop, modify, apply, and maintain quality standards and evaluation methods for products and processes;
• Sets up and performs destructive and nondestructive tests on materials, parts, or products to measure performance, life, or material characteristics; may establish statistical confidence by identifying sample size and acceptable error and determining levels of confidence.
• Position or connect parts or instruments for testing or operation; use tools or equipment for inspection purposes. Prepares graphs or charts of data and enters data into computer for analysis;
• Devises sampling procedures and designs and develops forms and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality data. Shares specialized knowledge with others
• Inspect and document conformance of outbound material documentation and procedures.
• Perform in-process and final inspections of parts from Clean Room Class 100,000 according to current policies and procedures. Document results as per written work instructions

Warehouse/Shipping&Receiving Clerk

The Warehouse/Shipping&Receiving Clerk is responsible for assisting warehouse staff in the safe and accurate shipping and receiving of product.

• Receives items by unloading vehicles; accepting deliveries; unpacking containers
• Verifies items received by inspecting condition of items; comparing count/measure of items to purchase order and packing list; noting discrepancies.
• Documents items received by recording identifying information. Complete data entry in ERP and document all required forms in accordance with ISO 900:2008, cGMP, and company written work instructions.
• Move materials from the quarantine areas into the proper released area after quality assurance has released the material.
• Notify and disperse supplies to appropriate departments. Coordinate with quality assurance to expedite the release of urgent incoming material shipments.
• Prepares shipments by assembling, inspecting, packing, staging, labeling and loading packages.
• Documents items shipped by recording identifying information of items and transport information. Complete data entry in ERP and document all required forms in accordance with ISO 9001:2008, cGMP, and company written work instructions.
• Participates in cycle-counts and physical inventory. Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies as required.
• Re-order and stock shipping supplies such as shrink film and pallets to meet production requirements.
• May contact and schedule maintenance and repairs of warehouse equipment (i.e. forklifts, pallet jacks etc…).
• Maintain the paper/cardboard-recycling program. Stretch wrap pallets of finished goods.
• Maintains cleanliness of warehouse(s).
• Operates production machines in relief of operators as necessary for breaks etc.
