160 oz EPET Handleware Bottle
Realizing the potential to introduce a superior and more sustainable option to the food service packaging industry, we embarked on a two-year design and development project in collaboration with one of our blow molding equipment OEMs. Together, we engineered a machine capable of producing EPET handleware at a competitive speed compared to PVC alternatives, despite the higher cost of the resin.
Following numerous trials and challenges, we successfully launched our inaugural EPET handleware product: the 160 oz jug. Its design was meticulously crafted to seamlessly integrate into existing co-packer and spice manufacturers’ production lines, requiring minimal, if any, adjustments. Our bottle accepts the same caps, labels, and lot number marking equipment, simplifying the transition process for our partners.
Compared to its PVC counterpart, our PET version offers superior sustainability, as it can be easily recycled through standard single-stream recycling programs. These bottles are also manufactured from the same base resin as standard soda and water bottles, thus alleviating concerns associated with PVC. Additionally, its exceptional clarity enhances the quality and perception of our customers’ products on store shelves.
These bottles now run continuously on our fully automated production lines, catering to food service suppliers nationwide and driving forward our commitment to innovation and sustainability in food service packaging.
